Touchable God, for me, was a comforting book to read. Each chapter engaged my heart, drawing me into the warmth of the story. Jeanette's humor woven throughout, made me smile as I slid closer to the Lord as my friend. I loved chapter 11 on journaling(it's cheaper than a therapist).Section II is such a valuable resource for prayer...talking to the Lord as a friend. Jeanette uses Scripture to write prayers to God and provides the Scripture references. This is helpful for readers desiring to learn how to journal their prayers. I love this book. This may be my favorite of all of Jeanette's books. After every chapter I said to myself "That's my favorite" Then the next chapter became my favorite! The prayers at the end are so moving. Jeanette truly speaks Gods message in a genuine and touching way.
I found Jeanette Levellie's book, Touchable God, enjoyable to read and also an encouragement to me. Through her personal stories I was encouraged that I can talk to God at any time or at any place and that there is nothing I can't talk to Him about.
One method of prayer she uses is imagining what you are asking God to do. This method is a new concept for me but one that I like and will use.
I really appreciated the section of the book where Jeanette shares prayers for many different situations, from a prayer for a sick child to the death of a pet. I will keep this book nearby so I can use the prayers as I become aware of a person in need of prayer.
I believe anyone searching for a more meaningful prayer life or deeper understanding of prayer will benefit from reading this book.
Jeanette has such a unique way of expressing truth. She doesn't point a finger but gently leads with humor, kindness, and an invitation to consider God's willingness and desire to have an intimate relationship with His kids. I'm also an endorser of this book and did not receive any payment to write a positive review.
Through true stories and uplifting prayers, Jeanette Levellie encourages readers, offering hope while illustrating God’s approachable, loving nature. These stories are relatable - I was engaged immediately. The prayers brought others’ needs (as well as my own) to mind, and were the catalyst I needed to begin to pray. This book will be a wonderful resource now and in the future, as it offers a lifeline of comfort and light. I received this book in exchange for an honest review. I'm pleased to have had this privilege; it's an excellent book.
As with the other books by Jeanette Levellie, I purchased this book and simply want to encourage others to get these helpful books for themselves. When I read Touchable God, I was drawn in from page to page as I learned to look at the relationship God wants to have with us a little differently than I had before. Jeanette is very real with the reader and so relatable, at least, to me. I love the acrostic idea. I filled up notebook pages with acrostics for all the people I know and enjoyed the guidance they gave me as I prayed for each person by name. Read this book. You will be glad you did.

Jeanette Levellie has approached the issue of prayer in her unique style; she shares stories about her journey in prayer. She also supplies her readers with prayers for different circumstances they may run into in their walk with Jesus.
I shared one of the stories with a prayer group in which I participate. It is my favorite one. She calls it “Prayer Cues.” In her story, a friend who was having trouble with her teenage stepdaughter asked her to pray for that girl. Jeanette made a little sign, an acrostic of the teenager’s name, and placed it above her kitchen sink. Whenever Jeanette saw it she prayed the words she had written.
This is a marvelous way to pray for people needing special touches from God. I have incorporated this acrostic idea into my prayers. It brings a new element into my prayer life.
I recommend “Touchable God” to anyone who desires a closer walk with Jesus. If anyone is struggling in his or her faith, this book can help.
This is Jeanette’s fourth book. People like her sense of humor and her style. I’m certain those who those who read her stories will never tire of reading her works.

Touchable God is a kind and comforting book. It is written with a gentle spirit from a heart that has struggled with the same kinds of pain endured by most people who have lived longer than a few decades...even devout Christians to whom disappointments and tragedies befall, too. Author Jeanette Levellie uses her experiences with God's answers to prayer as a tool to comfort readers who might presently be struggling. Moreover, the author uses common subjects and experiences that most readers can identify with--pet illnesses and housecleaning and baking, intermixed with deaths and broken relationships and unexpected relocations. Through her stories and prayers, Jeanette illustrates the lifelong sufficiency of an approachable God. If this book were food, it would be a soothing mug of hot chocolate infused with an elixir of truth--with the sweetness of a few melted marshmallows on top, too.
